DOEPEL

The National Interprofessional Organization of Table Olives (DOEPEL) was established on 29/12/2014, responding to the urgent need to create a specialized institutional body possessing the necessary expertise that would bring together all those employed in the table olives sector.

Members of the Organisation include the primary sector, as producers organized into Cooperative Organizations and Associations, as well as the secondary and tertiary sector in the form of specialised packaging, processing and trading businesses, the latter with a strong focus on exporting the end product abroad.

The aim of DOEPEL is the effective representation of the table olives sector defending the interests of table olive products which are considered strategic export products for the national economy.

Proportionality and Representativeness

DOEPEL was established in accordance to proportionality and representativeness principles and follows the successful models and standards of the corresponding organizations abroad. Today, it represents equally all stages of the production, processing and commercial process.
